PROJECT OVERVIEW
NORM imagines a sensate architectural character at Socrates Sculpture Park. Instead of treating a building as a stable container, the proposal gives it revealed and withdrawn states that alter its organization and atmospheric conditions.
Behavioral informatics and responsive systems are conceived as means of regulating the internal environment, while peristaltic contraction introduces movement as an architectural behavior.
Galleries mediate between inhabitable spaces and a sequence of “worlds within worlds.” Physical models, plans, sections, and speculative representation examine how occupation might be shaped by a changing relationship among building, technology, and organism.

ARCHITECTURE AS BEHAVIOR
NORM is conceived less as a fixed object than as a changing architectural condition. Movement, occupation, atmosphere, and responsive systems continually reorganize the relationship between the building and the worlds contained within it.
